Laura Morris
Director of Education
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Laura is a native of Atlanta and attended Kennesaw State University, followed by the Montessori Institute of Atlanta. She has been an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) directress since 1991. Laura developed a full day Montessori program for primary age children, the first of its type in the Atlanta area. Laura has spoken nationally and internationally on this and other topics for AMI, the North American Montessori Teacher’s Association (NAMTA) and the Canadian Association of Montessori Teachers (CAMT). She has been published in Montessori journals, resource guides, and local magazines. Laura brings to Hopewell a wealth of experience as well as a deep respect for the Montessori method and the child.
Janey Ferrer
Infant and Toddler Director
Janey is the mother of three children. She has fifteen years of childcare experience with her own family and operating an in-home daycare. Janey first joined our community as a parent in the primary class. Her interest in Montessori was quickly sparked and she began to explore a deeper understanding of child development. Janey was an active substitute in the primary class and solidified her love for teaching and for Montessori, leading her to become our Infant and Toddler Class Director. Janey has helped develop the infant and toddler program from it’s beginning, incorporating American Sign Language and Spanish into the work of the class. Janey also teaches extra-curricular Spanish classes for children in the primary level. picture coming soon!
Rebecca Cook
Primary Class Assistant
Rebecca came to Hopewell as a parent in the primary class. Her interest in Montessori grew, and she became a valuable asset to Laura’s classroom. Rebecca’s previous experience with children’s music and movement with Gymboree has allowed her to bring fun new songs and activities to the class.

Lorien Breece
Business Manager
Lorien is a graduate of Northwoods Montessori School, where she progressed through AMI primary, lower elementary, and upper elementary programs. She later graduated from Berry College with a degree in psychology and business administration. She has experience in social work, ensuring the well-being of children, but decided that making sure children’s basic needs are met is not enough. As a Montessori graduate, she can attest to the positive impact that education has had in her life, and is dedicated to affording that same level of education to as many children as possible through Hopewell Montessori School.
Faye Sullivan
Board of Directors
Faye Sullivan is a registered nurse and parent of two Montessori graduates. She was proud of the growth of her own children in their years in Montessori schools and has become a pioneer for Montessori education. She has spent her professional life in healthcare, from the emergency room to the board room. As a founder of Hopewell Montessori School, she brings her service minded attitude and leadership skills to our board of directors.
Dennis Sullivan
Board of Directors
Dennis Sullivan is the parent of two Montessori graduates, and has studied psychology and education. In his quest to promote Montessori education, he helped found Hopewell Montessori School. He is employed at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, ensuring quality in children’s healthcare, and brings that same dedication to ensure the quality of education provided at Hopewell Montessori School.
