Join us Saturday, February 27th, 10:00 - 11:30 AM for the Peace Celebration. Each child has chosen a country in to represent and we are asking parents to bring food from around the world. If you have a favorite recipe that comes to mind or if you would like to look one up that represents the country your child has chosen, we would be delighted to have your dish be part of our celebration. Feel free to bring artifacts to display on our tables from any travels you have taken.

Friends, family and neighbors are welcome to join us for this special celebration.

Note: Your child was sent home with a note listing which country he or she has chosen. If you have not received a note from school, please follow up with Laura.

You can! This FREE 4-part parenting workshop will help you begin to develop a better understanding of your child as a unique individual separate from you. You will walk away with the knowledge and tools you need to create a peaceful home environment where adults and children work in cooperation and where communication doesn’t leave you exhausted and frustrated.

Join us Monday, February 8th from 6:30 – 7:70 at the Seven Hills Clubhouse where Laura Morris will present the first program, The Four Planes of Developmental Growth for the Child.

You will gain a better understanding of your child’s specific area of development, and how to help him or her take full advantage of sensitive periods of cognitive and social growth. The unrealized potential of the child’s mind is one of the greatest secrets of childhood.

2. Mon. Feb. 15; 6:30 – 7:30 PM : Communication Skills … How to successfully communicate with your unique child, depending on his or her personality.

3. Mon. Feb. 22; 6:30-7:30 PM : Communication Skills continued

4. Mon. March 1; 6:30-7:30 PM: What’s Going On…Insight into the amazing intellectual, social, and emotional growth that occurs during the first six years of life

Laura Morris, Director of Education at Hopewell Montessori School has developed this program based on her 20 years of experience working with children. She has spoken nationally and internationally on topics related to early childhood development and she brings a wealth of hands-on experience and observations.
